Virginia judge rules parts of Obama’s health care reform unconstitutional

At least we now know that there is someone else in government, other than Ron Paul that cares about upholding the constitution.

Today a Federal judge in Virginia has become the first in the country to rule parts of the health care form to be unconstitutional.  U.S. district judge Henry Hudson struck down the “individual mandate” which declares that most Americans will have to purchase health insurance by 2014 or be subject to fines.

Since passing the reform in March of this year there has been much controversy over the policies, specifically the individual mandate.  In fact, the only political party that appears to be in agreement with the reform would be the Democrats as not a single Republican member in the house or Senate voted in favor of the bill.  This has also sparked a rise in the Tea Party Movement across America, who along with Republicans view the reform as a government takeover of health care.

Ultimately, this issue will end up in the hands of the Supreme Court and will somehow be ruled as constitutional.  Because lets face it, the issue here isn’t about health care, its about another step towards socializing every aspect of your life.

This bill will ultimately put private insurance companies out of business forcing everyone into a government run policy. This means that any decision about your health will be made by a Federal official who more than likely isn’t qualified to give medical advice.

Lets not forget that one of the top contributors to Obama’s campaign in 2008 was Goldman Sachs, the banking giant who has been at the forefront of health care financing since 1967.  Lets also not forget that the former CEO of Goldman Sachs was Ben Bernanke, the current chairman of the Federal Reserve.

If you want to understand why things change, you have to first find out who stands to profit from the change.  You have to “follow the money,” and in this instance the trail of money all leads back to Ben Bernanke, the Fed, and Wall Street.

Congressman Ron Paul has said this about Bernanke: “There is something fishy about the head of the world’s most powerful government bureaucracy,  one that is involved in a full-time counterfeiting operation to sustain monopolistic financial cartels, and the world’s most powerful central planner, who sets the price of money worldwide, proclaiming the glories of capitalism.”

The Beautiful Mind

Ever wonder what the process of thought actually looks like?  Many neuroscientists around the world ponder this same question.  Surprisingly not much is known about the incredibly complex imagery that occurs in the brain.

Carl Schoonover is a 27 year old student enrolled in the neuroscience Ph.D. program at Columbia University. He has taken it upon himself to lure not only other scientists, but the average person into the imagery of the human mind in his visually stunning new book “Portraits of the Mind: Visualizing the Brain From Antiquity to the 21st Century”.
